Our travel show program will bring a selection of living insects and other arthropods into the classroom for a hands-on presentation. Giant millipedes, hissing cockroaches, amazing walking sticks, furry tarantulas, and more will amaze the students and turn them on to the incredible world of the arthropods.

A selection of living insects and other arthropods come into your classroom for hands-on presentations. Giant millipedes, hissing cockroaches, camouflaged walking sticks, furry tarantulas and more to amaze students and turn them on to the incredible world of arthropods.

Beautiful Butterflies and Mysterious Moths
Introduce the amazing cycle of metamorphosis and shows how butterflies and moths differ from each other and from other insects. Emphasizing fun and hands-on activities, students will learn the different needs of caterpillars and adult butterflies and what happens in the pupal stage, as well how butterflies and moths depend on plants, and vice versa.

The emphasis during the show will be kids having fun. Since children have varying abilities to concentrate, our show is normally one hour long, we'll need 30 minutes to set up and 30 minutes to take down. For groups of lower ages, the time can be adjusted. The insect display of 9 live animal species and 30 mounted critter species. The display needs three 8 ft tables, or equivalent. Our fee for one presentation is $375.00 payable by cash, check or cc. Please call to discuss multiple presentations and times on the same day. Since the attention span of the youngest students is short, 30 minute presentations may be more appropriate. We usually ask for a deposit to hold the date.We will negotiate the day/time/group size for the event, please call to discuss particulars.

During December and January days Monday thru Friday are available, except for the days preceeding and following holidays and holidays.
